Born and raised outside of Houston, Texas, and heavily influenced by country music, Norman North grew up in a small town called Sunnyside with his mother and uncles. He can still remember the joyful feeling of hearing Brooks & Dunn for the first time and until a few years ago, Norman focused on a career in hip-hop. It wasn’t until grieving the passing of a dear family member that he rediscovered country music and the joyful feelings it brings.  

Norman describes his relationship with music as a way to connect with people and share love and positivity; which is the perfect way to describe how he merged country and hip-hop together in his debut EP. With this project, he hopes fans rediscover those same feelings he felt listening to country music for the first time. Norman’s debut single “Plain Jane” is slated for release on April 28th followed by the EP “The Otherside” that will be available on all platforms on May 12th, 2021.
